"We consider the Centenary of Turkey as the greatest legacy that we will leave to the next generations"

"We consider the Centenary of Turkey as the greatest legacy that we will leave to the next generations"

In his speech at the meeting of governors, President Erdogan said: "The breakthroughs in development and democracy, the jobs and services that we have brought to our country over the past 21 years are the foundation of the Turkish century. We consider the centenary of Turkey, which we will build on this solid foundation, built by compensating for centuries of negligence, as the greatest legacy that we will leave to the next generations."

Thanking the governors for their services to the cities to which they entrusted their duties on behalf of the state, President Erdogan congratulated them on the Administration Day on January 10.

Stating that Turkey is a country that can preserve many customs that stem from thousands of years of state traditions, President Erdogan noted that the organization of civil administration occupies an important place in the life of the state and the nation as the owner and executor of this tradition.

Stating that administrative duties, especially the governorship, cannot be limited to working hours, President Erdogan recalled the words of Zia Pasha: "Do not think that I was a pasha in Amasia, I found and became the father of orphans."

"STEP BY STEP, WE REALIZED OUR GOALS"

Stressing that governors are not obliged to act as pashas in their cities, but for the fatherhood of the orphaned population, for taking care of every issue of the city and leading its solution, he noted: "In this regard, the door, the phone, the eyes of the city administrator will always be open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Otherwise, you will not be able to provide your city and the people who live there with the services they deserve. The reason we express these expectations at almost every meeting we hold with our members of the civil administration organization is that our State traditions and administrative practices point us to the same truth. We must serve our Homeland, where we will not hesitate to sacrifice our lives when necessary, with the same feeling and determination. They say: "The lost is sought where it is lost." Those who have no dreams have no goals. We are the children of a people who have been running from war to war, from struggle to struggle, following the path of the word of God for more than a thousand years.Despite the fact that there are some idiots who are deprived of the basic concepts of our civilization and the meaning of the world they express, the heart of our nation still beats with the same excitement. We can regain all that we have lost in terms of civilization and sovereignty by reviving those characteristics that made us superior to others in the past. We will follow this roadmap in everything from science to morality, from justice to diligence."

Stating that he has always acted with this understanding throughout his duties as Prime Minister and President, President Erdogan said: "13 years ago, we set goals for our country for 2023. When some people heard about our program, they mentally mocked us. Thank God, we worked day and night, overcame many difficulties and achieved our goals step by step."

"THE CENTENARY OF TURKEY IS A JOINT PROGRAM OF THE NATION AND THE STATE"

Stating that they had achieved a significant part of their goals despite all the attacks they had been subjected to, President Erdogan said: "Last year we survived the first century of our Republic and entered the second century. On the occasion of the presidential and parliamentary elections held in May, we presented a new vision to our people. This vision, which we call the "Century of Turkey", is not the program of a political party, but the name of the goal of comprehensive development, growth and strengthening of the country. In other words, the "Century of Turkey" is a common dream, a common program, a common project of the nation and the state. Undoubtedly, you, our governors and district governors, are the interlocutors of the first degree of the Century of Turkey in our cities. The breakthroughs in development and democracy that we have brought to our country over the past 21 years, as well as works and services, are the foundation of the Turkish century. We consider the centenary of Turkey, which we will build on this solid foundation, built by compensating for centuries of negligence, as the greatest legacy that we will leave to the next generations. In this regard, I am glad that the agenda of our Governors' Meeting was formed with an emphasis on the "Century of Turkey"."

Noting that everyone knows with what difficulties, pains and shocks the first century of the Republic passed, President Erdogan said: "Although we have eliminated most of these shortcomings and brought our country to the top league under our governments, we do not consider the place where we have come to be sufficient."

"WHENEVER TURKEY FINDS ITSELF AT A CRITICAL CROSSROADS, DIRTY SCENARIOS IMMEDIATELY COME INTO PLAY"

Recalling that, sharing his vision of the "Century of Turkey" with the public, he said:We are at such a critical threshold that with the steps we will take from now on, we will either take our place at the forefront of the global Development League, otherwise we will face the risk of falling behind again," he added: "As we direct our vision towards centuries-old goals, we carry a burden that is really very difficult to overcome. Let none of us be misled by the consolation of those who have never laid brick on brick, repaired a heart, or signed any works or services in their lives. Our work is really hard. You also keep an eye on this, whenever Turkey finds itself at a critical crossroads, dirty scenarios, insidious traps and sneaky games are immediately launched. Unfortunately, there are enough people in our country who seek to become involved in these scenarios. We know very well the forces, intentions and enthusiasm behind the February 28 protests that have become frequent in recent days. The purpose of these outdated games, which we believe no one will trust anymore, is to distract us from our real goals, our vision of the Century of Turkey. They haven't succeeded so far, and I hope they won't succeed again."

"TURKEY IS NOT JUST A COUNTRY WITH ITS OWN BORDERS"

Stressing that they are aware of the difficulties that result from the complex processes taking place in the world, in the region and within the country, President Erdogan said: "The enemy of our national unity and integrity is trying to mobilize social fault lines this time through foreign and Islamic hostility. Economic fluctuations caused by global and regional crises are trying to turn people, in addition to their government, into a means of hostility towards their state. They are trying to confuse the country with half-lies, half-false news spread in media controlled by global powers such as social media."

Stating that efforts are being made to create a ground that can bring scenarios to life, clouding the minds and hearts of some citizens, especially young people, President Erdogan continued: "Those who are concerned about Turkey's democratic maturity, which it has never jeopardized, despite all the problems it has experienced, have tried to glorify the most lumpen forms of fascism. So much so that we can even meet those who glorify the cruelty of Israel and the support of this cruelty by the Western world, and who trample on the values that make a person human. It is our duty to keep our nation aware of these traps of justice, fairness, morality and inhumanity on the part of the enemies of Islam and Muslims, Turks and enemies of Turkey. I want to remind you once again of one fact that we often talk about: Turkey is a country that consists not only of its borders. Our nation is not a community responsible only for what happens inside these borders. The sphere of influence and responsibility of both Turkey and our country is very wide. There are reasons for this, both due to our historical and cultural background, as well as our faith and nature. Remember, the eyes and hearts of billions of people are turned to us in a wide geography from the Balkans to the Caucasus, from the middle of Asia to the south and east, from the north to the depths of Africa. Just as every success and victory we have achieved is reflected throughout this vast geography, we should not doubt that the sorrows caused by our losses also make our hearts sad. For the eyes that see, the ears that hear, the tongues that tell the truth, and the volunteers who can bring the truth, this meaningful picture really means a lot of responsibility. The Age of Turkey means that this point of view will be embodied in the breakthroughs that we will make in all spheres of life."

"I EXPECT GREAT EFFORTS IN THE ELECTORAL PROCESS"

Recalling that Turkey is preparing for new elections on March 31, 2024, President Erdogan said: "You are the highest representative of the state and its head in our provinces. I expect you to make great efforts in the upcoming electoral process, as well as in all issues related to the future of the country and the nation."

Stressing that the elections, which are a means of reflecting the national will in the country's leadership, should be conducted in a healthy way, in peace and security, President Erdogan noted: "As in any election period, on March 31 there may be those who want to hide the results of the support they could not receive from the nation, creating unrest and chaos. There will be those who want to use the competition, which becomes a little tougher during the election period compared to other times, to shake up the country. Together, we will not allow the ballot box to be overshadowed on March 31, as it was before today. We do this by helping candidates comfortably do their jobs within the law, ensuring that every citizen can safely vote on election day, and ensuring safe counting of votes at the ballot boxes. in short, by ensuring a smooth, smooth and confident process from start to finish. While our justice organization, election commissions, the police department and other support units carry out work in their areas of responsibility, you also provide coordination. I believe that we will conclude these elections safely and with full democratic maturity, with an approach that takes into account all possibilities and immediately implements alternative solutions."

Thanking the governors for their hard work and efforts, Turkey is not just a country consisting of its own borders, President Erdogan asked to convey greetings to the people upon returning to their posts.
