Uzbekistan has sent a "health train" with humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

A train with food, medicines and medical teams was sent from Uzbekistan to Afghanistan.

In a statement, the akimat of the Surkhandarya region on the border of Uzbekistan with Afghanistan reported that, on the instructions of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, an "ambulance train" with food, medical supplies and a medical team consisting of Uzbek doctors was sent to Afghanistan.

The statement states that the "sanitary train" of 8 wagons sent to Afghanistan contains the necessary medical devices and materials for health examination, diagnosis and treatment, and also states that Uzbek doctors on the "sanitary train" will examine people living in Balkh province of Afghanistan for free on December 25-30.

The statement said that humanitarian aid materials and an "ambulance train" were sent to Afghanistan at the request of the Afghan authorities, and it was also reported that the materials were delivered to the Afghan authorities by the Governor of Surkhandarya region, Ulugbek Kasimov.
