The Secretary-General participated in the first meeting of the OTG-WHO Emergency Medicine Leadership Training program
The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, together with the Head of the WHO European Office, Dr. Hans Kluge, participated in the first meeting of the OTS-WHO leadership training program in the field of emergency medical care, held in Istanbul.
Secretary-General Omuraliev stressed that this program is the first training program jointly organized by OTG and WHO for medical professionals from OTG member States, and that both organizations will continue to cooperate in the field of health in the coming period.
Dr. Kluge stressed that the training program is a concrete result of the collaboration between OTG and WHO and that they attach great importance to the continuation of similar programs in partnership with the two organizations.
The training program, organized with the participation of approximately 30 medical professionals from the member States of the OTG and including 12-hour online courses and a 5-day face-to-face seminar, aims to improve the leadership skills of students in health emergencies.
The program is organized jointly by OTG and WHO on the basis of an Action Plan signed by Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev and Dr. Hans Kluge on October 28, 2023 in Copenhagen.
