The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OT), Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, took part in a dinner organized jointly by the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United States Furkat Sidigov and the Center for Caspian Policy at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan on February 22, 2024 as part of a visit to Washington, DC.
In his opening remarks, the Secretary General touched upon the path of OTG, institutional growth, successful partnerships and commitments summarized in strategic documents such as the Vision of the Turkic World 2040 and the OTG Strategy for 2022-26, and emphasized the growing responsibility of the Organization as a reliable regional partner. Looking to the future, he stated that OTG will play an influential role in world affairs, focusing on cooperation, legally binding agreements and shared prosperity, as well as opening its doors to all to expand opportunities and meaningful dialogue with the world community.
The dinner, which was attended by ambassadors and deputy missions of the OTG countries, senior officials of the US administration, members of the CPC Board of Directors and former senior diplomats from the United States, participants had the opportunity to hold important discussions on OTG's efforts to cooperate in the region and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
