The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States held a meeting with the staff of the Organization of Turkic States office in Hungary.

Secretary General Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with the staff of the Organization of Turkic States' office in Hungary at the office building. During the meeting, the Executive Director of the Organization of Turkic States’ office in Hungary, Ambassador István Vásáry, and the project directors informed the Secretary General about the ongoing activities of the office.

The Secretary General emphasized the need to intensify efforts in implementing the Office's Activity Plan, as well as to participate more actively in the implementation of the Organization of Turkic States Summit Event Plans and the Organization of Turkic States Development Strategy. Among the main priorities, the Secretary General highlighted the importance of developing cooperation with the EU and relevant European institutions.

The Secretary General paid special attention to the "Joint Work Plan of the Organization of Turkic States and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary for 2024 to support the development of relations between the Organization of Turkic States and the European Union," and subsequent efforts for its implementation.

Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev underscored the importance of joint activities within the framework of Hungary’s presidency of the EU Council in 2024.
