The Prime Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan met at the border
Kyrgyz Prime Minister Adylbek Kasimaliev, Uzbek Prime Minister Abdullah Aripov and Tajik Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda met at the border crossing area of the three countries.
In a written statement, the Kyrgyz government said that Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kasymaliyev, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Aripov and Prime Minister of Tajikistan Rasulzoda met at the border checkpoint where the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan, Ferghana region of Uzbekistan and Sughd region of Tajikistan intersect.
The statement notes that the border issue was discussed during the meeting.
Recalling the approval of the agreement "On the Kyrgyz-Uzbek State border," the statement says that an agreement has been reached on the preparation of final documents by working groups to resolve the "border dispute" between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
The statement stressed the importance of cross-border and interregional cooperation, which will become a driving force for enhancing interaction between the countries, emphasizing that the countries have great potential to strengthen cooperation in key areas such as trade, logistics, water, energy, cultural and humanitarian relations.
