The President of Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the logistics capabilities of the Caspian-Black Sea and Asia-Pacific regions
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in his speech at the summit of the Supreme Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), said that they attach great importance to improving the logistics capabilities of the Caspian-Black Sea and Asia-Pacific regions, as well as the countries of the Persian Gulf and the Middle East.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in his speech at the summit of the Supreme Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), said that the Caspian-Black Sea and Asia-Pacific regions, as well as the countries of the Persian Gulf and the Middle East attach great importance to expanding their logistics capabilities.
Berdimuhamedov, who attended the CIS heads of state summit held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, said that maintaining peace and ensuring security and stability are their priorities, and said: "In this context, Turkmenistan is developing a global security strategy under the auspices of the UN, taking into account the conditions and aspects of world development. We suggest discussing development opportunities. We expressed this initiative at the 78th meeting of the UN General Assembly."
Berdimuhamedov said that, in his opinion, the projects initiated by his country to diversify energy, transport and communication routes within the framework of the development of the North-South and East-West corridors are also important for CIS members, and said: "We attach great importance to increasing the logistics capabilities of the Caspian-Black Sea and Asia-Pacific regions, as well as the countries of the Persian Gulf and the Middle East."
Drawing attention to the global economic crisis, instability in the fuel and energy markets, Berdimuhamedov said: "We propose to pay attention to the issues of debt obligations and mutual settlements and hold special consultations on their solution."
