The Parliament of Kazakhstan has adopted a law on simplification of cargo transportation with Turkey

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart approved the law on ratification of the intergovernmental agreement with Turkey on international combined cargo transportation.

The statement of the President of Kazakhstan says that President Tokayev signed "The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on ratification of the agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of Turkey in the field of international combined freight transport."

This agreement is aimed at increasing cargo traffic between the two countries by road, rail and sea. Thus, the transit of goods along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway through the Caspian Sea will be facilitated.

In addition, for combined rail and sea transport, a single digital document will be introduced instead of two separate transit documents.

Kazakh Transport Minister Marat Karabayev said in a statement to parliament in February that the agreement between the two governments would increase mutual trade between Kazakhstan and Turkey.
