The International conference "Jadids" was held in Tashkent.

The International conference "Jadids: Ideas of national identity, independence and statehood" was held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

The conference, organized by the Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, with the participation of the Secretary General of the OTG, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, as well as high-ranking officials of the Turkic states and other countries, is designed to inspire the younger generation to shape their future on the basis of science and education, to strengthen ties between the Turkic peoples and give them the opportunity to turn to deep history.

 

At the opening ceremony of the Conference, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Khayriddin Sultanov addressed the participants of the Conference with the address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

 

Secretary General Omuraliyev stressed that the convening of this conference in the context of the "Year of the Rise of Turkic Civilization" announced at the Samarkand summit of the Organization and the "Turkish ERA" announced at the last Astana Summit has a unique symbolic significance for the Turkic states.

 

The Secretary General also stressed that the Jadid movement is of great importance in strengthening Turkish unity, promoting the achievements of science and education, as well as revitalizing society.
