The 95th birthday of Chingiz Aitmatov was celebrated by municipality of Kechioren

The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ankara and the municipality of Kechioren organized a commemorative program on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the birth of Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov.

ANKARA (Civil Initiative) Zelikha Sorkunlu/ The program, which took place in Chingiz Aitmatov Park, was attended by Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Ankara Ruslan Kazakbayev, Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bolu Atillahan Kurt, State Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Nazira Mambetova, Mayor of Kechioren Turgut Altynok, former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Sami Gyuchly, ambassadors and embassy staff, representatives of political parties and non-governmental organizations, as well as citizens.

HE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT REPRESENTATIVE OF KYRGYZ AND TURKISH CULTURE

Kazakbayev noted that relations between the two countries in the cultural sphere have been developing since 1991, when Kyrgyzstan declared its independence, and stressed that Turkey became the first country to recognize the independence of Kyrgyzstan.

Noting that Aitmatov is one of the most widely read writers in Turkey, he stated that although a lot of time has passed since the author's death, he will not be forgotten because of his "great works".

Stressing that according to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Aitmatov is the most widely read writer in the world after Shakespeare and Tolstoy, Kazakbayev said: "(Chingiz Aitmatov) is the most important representative of Kyrgyz and Turkish culture, who through his work and international public activities has made an invaluable contribution to the development of world literature and culture, contributed to the rapprochement and mutual enrichment of the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and fraternal Turkey."

AITMATOV WAS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

In his speech to the participants of the program, Mayor of Kechioren Turgut Altynok said: "Today marks the 95th anniversary of the birth of the great writer, the great writer Chingiz Aitmatov, who was born and grew up in difficult times and was a light to the world. With deep respect and reverence, we honor the bright memory of Chingiz Aitmatov. May his place be paradise."

Stressing that Aitmatov is a great writer who has created classical works all over the world, Altynok continued his speech as follows:

"Every person is born and lives his life. Later, he moves from this mortal world to the eternal world. My Lord created such a world. But the main thing is to leave a trace. Chingiz Aitmatov is the voice, the breath and the heart of the world. There is a pearl in it that very few writers, poets and literati in the world will be blessed with. He is an artist whose works have been translated in more than 200 countries around the world. There are many writers, many poets, many literary figures, but Chingiz Aitmatov, who left his mark and seal on the world classics, is our pride. Many of his novels have been adapted into films in Turkey. It was a blockbuster. Chingiz Aimatov, offering many beauties to those who read, exists today and will be tomorrow. 95th anniversary of the birth of Chingiz Aitmatov. We have a saying: "The body turns to dust, but the soul is preserved." This park tells the whole story of Chingiz Aitmatov.When we look at the park as a whole, we see the poems and novels they wrote. Here, together with our children, youth, women, the elderly and children, we know Chingiz Aitmatov. I take this opportunity to honor the memory of Chingiz Aitmatov. Peace to Bishkek.
