The 3rd Meeting of Ministers of Agriculture was successfully held on March 20, 2024 in Taraz, Kazakhstan.
The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, took part in the 3rd meeting of Ministers of Agriculture of the Organization of Turkic States and the 3rd Turkish Agricultural Business Forum, which were successfully held in Taraz, Kazakhstan, on March 20, 2024.
The main topic of the Ministerial meeting was the development of joint trade in agricultural products in the regions of the region. The Ministers adopted a Communique containing the main goals and objectives, as well as the implementation of the decisions taken at the meeting.
At the 3rd Turkish Agricultural Business Forum, held immediately after the ministerial meeting, representatives from all over the Turkish world actively participated in promoting agricultural innovation and sustainability of agricultural development in the regions of the region. During the Ministerial meeting, the Secretary General of the OTG held bilateral meetings with the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Aidarbek Saparov, the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov and the President of the Zhambyl region, Mr. Erbol Karashukeyev.
The parties held fruitful meetings and exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in this important area. The parties agreed to continue efforts and activities to increase agricultural productivity, develop exports, simplify trade and increase the competitiveness of agricultural products, as well as promote digitalization and food security in the region of the region.
