Politically, economically, and even militarily, our right to the seas is an extremely important national value from the point of view of our law. This is the importance of Cyprus," he said.

Cyprus is a position consisting of a number of legal and strategic benefits that affect not only us living there, but also national security, with its maritime jurisdiction and airspace directly over the blue homeland. Cyprus is important to him. That is why we often see that we need to preserve the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus as an independent Turkish state. We often see and hear these assessments both on TV screens and in political statements. While the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus occupies its place in history, it is in a way the window and door of the entire Turkic world, opening to the Mediterranean. the door of the entire Turkish world leading to the Mediterranean Sea. This is an extremely important national value from the point of view of political, economic and, of course, our right to the sea. That's what Cyprus is.

Recalling that on November 11, 2022, through the efforts of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the TRNC joined the Organization of Turkic States (OTG) with observer status, Tatar said: "The fact that the Turkish people, who are an integral part of the community, a nation that ultimately claims its right to determine its own future as an independent and free people, have reached this stage in the Organization of Turkic States with their own state, is certainly an important milestone for us.
