The President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ersin Tatar, noted that Turkey is the most powerful country in the region and supports the Turkish Cypriot people with all its means, and said: "The security of our people is guaranteed by Turkey."
The summit, during which regional issues were discussed, was held in the Office of the President, chaired by President Ersin Tatar.
The high-level meeting was attended by Turkish Ambassador to Nicosia Metin Feyzioglu, Commander of the Turkish Cypriot peacekeeping forces Major General Sebahattin Kilinc, Commander of the security forces Major General Osman Aytac, Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Ataoglu, Minister of Public Works and Transport Erhan Arykli, Minister of Foreign Affairs Tahsin Ertugruloglu, Deputy Secretary of the President Okan Donangil and the special representative of the President, Gunesh Onar.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Turkish Ambassador to Nicosia Feyzioglu recalled that Turkey is a guarantor and ally of the TRNC, and said: "The security of the TRNC belongs to Turkey."
Stating that Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and all institutions are working for peace and tranquility in the region, Feyzioglu stressed that they are working very closely with President Tatar, Prime Minister Unal Ustel and the government, adding that Turkey and the TRNC continue to work in close allied relations.
