President of Kyrgyzstan Zhaparov invited Austrian companies to invest

During an official visit to Austria, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov called on Austrian companies to invest in his country.

According to the presidential press center, President Zhaparov met with Austrian President Alexander van der Bellen in Vienna.

Stating that they highly appreciate friendly relations with Austria, Zhaparov drew attention to the need to intensify economic cooperation between the two countries.

Zhaparov noted that promising areas of cooperation between the two countries are hydropower, tourism, education, healthcare, digitalization and the mineral resources sector.

Focusing on hydropower issues, Zhaparov invited Austrian companies to participate in the construction of small and medium-sized hydroelectric power plants and ski resorts in his country.

At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the ministries and departments of energy, digital development, finance, natural resources and intellectual property.
