Kyrgyzstan's wrestling team took third place at the championship after Japan and the USA in terms of the total number of medals.
Members of the Kyrgyz national Greco-Roman wrestling team won three gold, two bronze and one silver medals at the Gedza International Competitions in Serbia. . In Greco-Roman wrestling, the gold medal was won by Akzhol Mahmudov in the 77 kg weight category and Dzholaman Sharshenbekov in the 60 kg weight category. One of the female wrestlers, Aisuluu Tynybekova, also won a gold medal in the 62 kg weight category.
