During the visit of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Azerbaijan, agreements were signed in the fields of economy, energy, media, investment, culture, space technology, education and maritime navigation.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who arrived in Baku for official talks.
Aliyev greeted Tokayev with an official ceremony. After the ceremony, at which the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan were played, Aliyev and Tokayev held a bilateral meeting. After the bilateral meeting, a meeting of the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Interstate Supreme Council was held with the participation of relevant ministers and officials.
Speaking at the meeting, Aliyev said that Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are two fraternal countries. Noting that they are satisfied with Kazakhstan's achievements in socio-economic development and innovative progress, Ilham Aliyev said: "Kazakhstan is our reliable friend and ally."
Tokayev also congratulated President Aliyev on his re-election as president.
Stating that they are pleased with Azerbaijan's victory in the Second Karabakh War and the restoration of its territorial integrity and sovereignty, Tokayev said: "Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are strategic partners and allies in the truest sense of the word."
Tokayev said that efforts are continuing to increase the volume of trade between the two countries, the potential is great and the days when they will succeed are not far off.
After the meeting, Aliyev and Tokayev watched the arrival of a container train that traveled along the China-Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan route along the Middle Corridor to the Absheron station in Baku via direct communication.
Following the negotiations, a number of agreements were signed between the two countries. Aliyev and Tokayev noted that "The Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Interstate Supreme Council 1. The resolution of the meeting".
In addition, relevant ministers and officials held a ceremony to sign agreements in the fields of SMEs, media, investment, culture, space technology, education and maritime navigation.
During the meeting, an agreement was also signed on a gradual increase in the volume of Kazakh oil shipped to world markets through Azerbaijan.
