OTS Tourism Training Program was organized in Turkistan
The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) tourism training program was held in Turkestan (Kazakhstan), which was attended by representatives of the participating states. The program was organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of Turkestan and the Turkestan International University of Tourism and Hospitality Management in accordance with the decisions taken at the 8th meeting of the Ministers of Tourism of the CIS countries.
The delegation was received by First Deputy of the Turkestan region Zulpykhar Zholdasov, and also met with Chairman of the Committee on Tourism Industry of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurtas Karipbayev, Rector of the International Turkestan University of Tourism and Hotel Management Alibek Shokparov and other officials of Kazakhstan.
During the program, tourism experts from the member States visited tourist destinations in Turkestan, including the ancient cities of Otrar and Sauran, and received information from the Kazakh authorities on best practices and developments in the region.
Tourism experts and Kazakh officials also considered ways to increase tourist mobility among the Turkic states and attract more tourists from other countries to the region. The participants were also informed about the activities of the OTG in the field of tourism and shared their ideas on increasing cooperation through the development of new projects and plans in this area.
