Minister Fidan: We have decided to take a number of new measures against Israel

"There can be no justification for Israel blocking our attempts to deliver aid to the residents of Gaza. In the face of this situation, we have decided to take a number of new measures against Israel."

Regarding Israel's refusal of Turkey's request to send air aid to Gaza via Jordan, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said: "Israel cannot have an excuse to block our attempt to deliver aid to Gazans suffering from air hunger. In the face of this situation, we have decided to take a number of new measures against Israel."

Fidan made statements to the press at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip and the provision of humanitarian assistance to Gaza.

Noting that the last days of the holy month of Ramadan have come and the tragedy in Gaza has been going on for 6 months, Fidan recalled that the genocide case against Israel and the interim decision taken by the International Court of Justice on this issue are ongoing.

Fidan pointed out that even the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), which has remained silent so far, decided that Israel should declare a cease-fire, and said that despite this, Israeli attacks continue throughout the month of Ramadan.

Noting that such an inhumane attitude continues to wound the conscience of the entire world public opinion, especially Muslims, Fidan stressed that Turkey has not remained indifferent to events since the first day of the events.

Stressing that under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, they have taken the most correct and courageous position and support their Palestinian brothers, Fidan said that they are making efforts to ensure that the international community and Islamic countries take a common position against Israel.

Stating that they were successful, Fidan said: "Today, the whole world is looking forward to the day when the Israeli authorities will be brought to justice. For the first time in history, everyone condemns Israel and condemns its crimes. We are also working hard to deliver humanitarian aid to our brothers and sisters in Gaza."

The amount of aid delivered from Turkey to Gaza exceeded 42 thousand tons

Fidan said that the volume of aid delivered by Turkey to Egypt for delivery to Gaza by sea and air exceeded 42 thousand tons, and that today Turkey is among the top 2 countries that send the most aid to Gaza.

Stating that the 9th humanitarian ship is on its way, Fidan said that humanitarian aid has been parachuting into Gaza through Jordan for some time.

Fidan also said that they had submitted a request to participate in this humanitarian aid operation with the help of transport aircraft belonging to the Turkish Air Force, and that today they learned that this request, which was positively received by the Jordanian authorities, was rejected by Israel.

"We have decided to take a number of new measures against Israel"

Regarding Israel's refusal of Turkey's request for aid to Gaza, Fidan said: "Israel cannot have an excuse to block our attempt to deliver aid to starving Gazans by air. In the face of this situation, we have decided to take a number of new measures against Israel."

Noting that these measures, which were approved by President Erdogan, will be implemented step by step without delay and brought to the attention of the public by the relevant institutions, Fidan said: "These measures will continue until Israel declares a ceasefire and allows humanitarian aid to arrive in Gaza unhindered."
