Expressing satisfaction with his first New Year's visit to Kyrgyzstan, a respected member of the Turkic world, Fidan said that important contacts had been reached in Kyrgyzstan and they would continue.

Fidan noted that regional and global negotiations, as well as relations between the two countries, were discussed at bilateral and inter-delegation meetings with his colleague Kulubayev.

"The steps we have taken towards institutionalization, especially professionally, are of strategic importance in this regard," Fidan said, adding that the 6th joint strategic planning meeting was held with his colleague.

Fidan said: "As a result of the work done and the decisions taken here, we have just signed our work program for 2024-2026 in your presence. The Joint Strategic Planning Group is an important issue that underlies our work."

Stating that the summit between the presidents of the two countries will be a meeting of the High-level Strategic Cooperation Council, Fidan said that the institutional meetings between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan are held in this format.

Stressing that joint projects are being implemented between the two countries, Fidan stressed that he and his Kyrgyz counterpart exchanged ideas on issues such as the economy, the situation of business people, increasing the "efficiency and consistency" of trade, mutual travel of citizens and the possibility of traveling using identity cards.

Noting that "progress has been made" on these issues, Fidan shared information that issues such as consular affairs and requests for training of Kyrgyz citizens in Turkey were also discussed.

Fidan stated that the activities of the Turkish Maarif Foundation in Kyrgyzstan and the closure of FETÖ schools in this country were also discussed, stressing that the activities of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University and the issues discussed are important from the point of view of capacity building in the field of education.

Cooperation between the two countries in the field of healthcare

Noting the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the field of healthcare, Fidan said: "The Turkish-Kyrgyz joint hospital built by TIKA is certainly an excellent example in this regard. Surgical interventions performed here using advanced medical technologies are a service for the Kyrgyz people and provide an opportunity to transfer our surgical and medical skills to the Kyrgyz healthcare sector."

Mentioning that they exchanged views with their Kyrgyz counterpart in order for the Organization of Turkic States (OTG) to be more effective, Fidan recalled that Kyrgyzstan will chair and host the OTG in 2024.

Fidan said he welcomed the agreement on Kyrgyzstan's border with Uzbekistan and that a similar agreement would be reached with Tajikistan this year, and said: "We sincerely wish that the conflict between the two friendly and fraternal countries would end as soon as possible. We are doing our best in this regard on every platform."

Fidan said that he and his Kyrgyz counterpart discussed the issues of "Afghanistan's reintegration into the international community, preventing a new civil war and preventing terrorism and other lawlessness," and stressed that these issues are a priority for both Turkey and Kyrgyzstan.

Fidan said that he and Kulubayev also exchanged views on the Russian-Ukrainian war, Turkey's position as the country with the largest Black Sea coast, Turkey's relations with Ukraine and Russia, as well as how it can be effective in reviving the grain deal.

Fidan said he told his colleague about the ongoing Israeli massacres in Gaza and the work of the contact group formed by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the League of Arab States on the issue.

In our opinion, there are no political differences between the two countries.
