Kyrgyz-Turkish Business Forum held in Bishkek
A Kyrgyz-Turkish business forum was held in Bishkek, the capital of the country, under the auspices of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov.
Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov "We consider the development of trade and economic relations with Turkey as a strategic advantage for Kyrgyzstan."
Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov said: "We consider the development of trade and economic relations with Turkey as a strategic advantage of Kyrgyzstan."
In his speech at the opening of the event, Zhaparov stressed that as a government they are open and ready for new ideas and new projects that will improve relations between the two countries.
Urging Turkish businessmen to invest in Kyrgyzstan, Zhaparov said: "We consider the development of trade and economic relations with Turkey as a strategic advantage of Kyrgyzstan."
Zhaparov stressed that the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship State Hospital operating in Bishkek is an example of the successful development of relations between the two countries.
Noting that 2023 is a very favorable year in bilateral relations, Zhaparov recalled that a Trade Representative Office of Kyrgyzstan has been opened in Ankara for the stability of bilateral trade.
Zhaparov noted that there is an increase in the volume of joint trade between the two countries, and listed the products exported from Kyrgyzstan to Turkey.
Trade Minister Amangeldiev: "Turkey is one of the main trading partners of Kyrgyzstan"
Minister of Economy and Trade of Kyrgyzstan Amangeldiev also made a presentation on investment opportunities and potential of Kyrgyzstan and noted: "Turkey is one of Kyrgyzstan's main trading partners."
Amangeldiev stressed that they are interested in implementing major projects in the country and shared the norms laid down in tax legislation and the country's tax-exempt opportunities.

Stressing that they are interested in implementing major projects in the country, Amangeldiev shared the provisions introduced into the tax code and the possibilities of tax exemption in the country.
Noting that energy, industry, trade, tourism and financial cooperation are among the promising areas in Kyrgyzstan, Amangeldiev asked Turkish businessmen to evaluate these industries.
Amangeldiev advised the Turkish side to use the potential of the Great Silk Road brand and develop cross-country tourist routes.
Speaking about banking services, Amangeldiev said: "We recommend opening representative offices (branches) of Turkish commercial banks in Kyrgyzstan in order to accelerate transfers and currency transactions."

The Turkish Ambassador to Bishkek, Dogan, stated that they want 2024 to be a year of significant progress in investment and trade relations between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan, and that they, like Turkey, strive to achieve this goal.
"Kyrgyzstan is our friendly and fraternal country,– Dogan said.
Stressing that the Kyrgyz administration is on the side of the investor, Dogan said: "Please use this opportunity. Kyrgyzstan is a very suitable country for investment in terms of water, energy and electricity. I ask investors to think about it. I invite you to Kyrgyzstan."
Dogan also said: "I have been working in Kyrgyzstan for about three years. The Kyrgyz government has also been in power for about three years. During this period, I have not seen a single unresolved problem in the business world. I have not seen any problems that the Kyrgyz government has not helped with. I would like to bring this to the attention of our business world."

Speaking about the cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, Atillahan KURT said that he had a lot of contacts. Drawing attention to the representation and work of Kyrgyzstan in the General Secretariat of Kubanychbek OMURALIEV in the Organization of Turkic States during this period, KURT stressed the importance of the economic union of Turkey and the Turkic world.
Atillakhan Kurt also thanked the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan in Ankara Ruslan KAZAKBAEV for his great support.
A delegation of Turkish businessmen met at a dinner held on behalf of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov. The First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan attended the dinner on his behalf.
On the second day of the program, Kyrgyz national festivals were held with the participation of representatives of Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkala Abilgaziev, Minister of Trade and Economy Daniyar AMANGELDIEV, Minister of Health, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Kyrgyzstan Akhmet Sadyk DOGAN, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Ruslan KAZAKBAYEV and a number of academics.
At a meeting open to the press, Minister of Trade and Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar acquainted the Turkish delegation with investment opportunities that will be evaluated from the point of view of economic cooperation.
