Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan calls on the international community

In a press statement released after a bilateral meeting with Montenegro's Foreign Minister, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said: "We invite other countries with conscience to intervene in this case" in connection with the massacres committed by Israel in Palestine. "Those who unconditionally support Israel are complicit in the massacre in Gaza," Fidan said.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Karabakh Erwin Ibrahimovich from his office in Dolmabakhche. Following the meeting, a joint press release was issued. At the meeting, Minister Fidan also answered questions from the press after the press release.

At the beginning of the press release, Fidan expressed unity and solidarity with Montenegro and said: "Today we have once again mutually confirmed our will to develop our relations in all areas in a spirit of solidarity. In particular, we believe that we can make rapid progress in strengthening our economic and trade relations. Relations between the Turkish business world and Montenegro are strengthening. Last year and this year, we ranked 3rd in terms of foreign direct investment in Montenegro," he said.

In continuation of his speech, Minister Fidan also touched upon the topic of the genocide in Gaza. Fidan said: "As you know, we had the opportunity to see what the situation was like during our visit to Egypt. As Turkey, we have sent 56,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza. We are the country that sends the most aid to Gaza. We are also grateful to the countries that are sending aid to Gaza. However, there are serious problems with the delivery of stored aid to Gaza due to Israel. We saw it on the spot. The decisions of the United Nations Security Council and the International Court of Justice speak for themselves. "The entire international community must put pressure on Israel to provide humanitarian aid and prevent the Palestinians from starving to death."

"We invite other conscious countries to intervene in this matter"

Fidan said those responsible for the mass killings in Gaza must be punished, and said: "These criminals sooner or later must be brought to justice in international courts. From the very beginning, we have supported the genocide case brought by the Republic of South Africa against Israel. We intervened in this case filed with the International Court of Justice of the United Nations. We have submitted a comprehensive dossier with careful elaboration. On Wednesday, we officially submitted the document to the court in The Hague. We will follow it to the end. The dossier we have presented makes a serious contribution to the development of international criminal law. Unfortunately, the consideration of such cases can take a long time. But there is no other way to hold the perpetrators of the massacres in Gaza accountable to the law and punish them as they deserve. We invite other conscientious countries to intervene in this matter."

"Those who unconditionally support Israel are complicit in the massacre in Gaza"

Criticizing Netanyahu's government, Fidan said, "He wants to set the whole region on fire. This is evidenced by the attacks and provocations against Lebanon, Yemen and Iran. Our region cannot tolerate even more tension, new conflicts, new wars. Israel must be stopped. I appeal to those countries that constantly supply weapons to those who unconditionally support Israel. It is clear who is escalating the tension. Give up the habit of cutting bills in the wrong place: The way to ensure peace and tranquility in the Middle East is to curb Israel's madness. Those who unconditionally support Israel are complicit in the massacre in Gaza. If you don't want to have the plague anymore, you have to stop Israel. As Turkey, we want peace and tranquility in our region. We strive for a just settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict based on the coexistence of two States. We believe that all types of disputes can be resolved through diplomacy and negotiations in all regions with which we have relations."
