Exports to the countries of the Organization of Turkic States increased to $ 6.8 billion

Turkey's exports to the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTG) increased by 14.2 percent last year compared to 2022 and reached 6 billion 831 million dollars.

 

The countries of the Organization of Turkic States (Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan) With their visions, projects and activities in the new environment, they are becoming an increasingly important center of power. While the countries strengthen their cooperation, cooperation, solidarity and integration based on partnership, Turkey continues to make progress in trade with these countries.

While the member countries are fighting the world's food and energy crises with their resources, power and vision, the important logistical channels and the geostrategic position of the world they are in are increasing the importance of these countries.

In recent years, there has been a large increase in trade turnover between the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States. Trade turnover between the member countries increased from $33 billion in 2022 to $42 billion in 2023.

The population of these countries is about 170 million people, most of whom are young people. Member countries with a total national income of $1.5 trillion; due to their rich natural resources and location in the Middle Corridor on the most important world trade routes, they offer great opportunities for trade and economic cooperation.

Most of the exports were carried out to Azerbaijan

According to information gathered from the data of the Assembly of Exporters of Turkey (TIM), Turkey's exports to the OTG countries consisting of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan increased by 14.2 percent last year compared to 2022 and reached $6.8 billion.

During this period, Azerbaijan was the country with the highest exports with $2.4 billion. It is followed by Kazakhstan with $1.7 billion, Uzbekistan with $1.6 billion and Kyrgyzstan with $1 billion.

The largest volume of exports to the countries of the Organization of Turkic States was carried out by the chemicals and products sector. The total exports of this sector to 4 countries last year amounted to 1 billion 173 million dollars.

Most of the exports were made from Istanbul worth $4 billion. The megalopolis accounted for 58.5 percent of exports to the CIS countries.

"The Organization of Turkic States works in more than 30 directions"

Deputy Secretary General of the OTG Merey Mukazhan noted that the countries of the Organization of Turkic States work in more than 30 areas and that the member countries have serious opportunities for the development of their economies.

Mukazan stated that there are good developments in the economies of the Turkic world and that the Turkish Investment Fund was officially established in the last quarter of last year, and spoke about the contributions that this fund will provide to countries.

Economic cooperation between the member countries continues to develop rapidly, and the volume of trade between the countries increased from $33 billion in 2022 to $42 billion last year.

Mukazhan said: "The OTG member countries are actively working on the development of the Middle Corridor. The participating countries are located in a very strategically important location in the Turan region, and this creates an advantage that can be used by businessmen of the participating countries."

Urging Turkish businessmen "not to sever ties with the countries of the Turkic world," Mukazhan stressed that there are many investment and cooperation opportunities for businessmen in the member countries.
