The events of the Week of Culture of Turkmenistan were held in the city of Arkadag, where the rich Turkmen culture with a thousand-year history was presented in various aspects.
This year, the twelfth events of the "Week of Culture and Day of Poetry of Makhtumkulu Firaki" in Turkmenistan were held in the city of Arkadag.
The opening ceremony, held at the Aman Gulmamedov State Drama Theater, was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers Mehridjemal Mammadova, officials of the Ministry of Culture, representatives of state institutions and organizations, cultural and art figures from all over the country.
At the opening concert, the works of the famous Turkmen poet Makhtumkulu Firaki were performed and his poems were read. The theatrical performance "Light of the World", the production of the opera Makhtumkulu and the theatrical circus show "Geroglu" organized within the framework of the event were highly appreciated.
Every year, events dedicated to the memory of Makhtumkulu Firaki are held in the province, and on the other hand, efforts are being made to develop fine and applied arts, music, theater and cinema in the country.
