Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Zhaparov: "Our GDP exceeded 1 trillion soms"

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akilbek Zhaparov said that the gross domestic product (GDP) of the country exceeded 1 trillion soms (11 billion 235 million US dollars).

Zhaparov spoke at the ceremony of awarding honorary and letters of appreciation on behalf of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Stating that the GDP for 11 months of this year amounted to 1 trillion 72.6 billion soms, Zhaparov said that the budget exceeded 6 billion 404 million dollars.

"Over the past 2.5 years, we have built and are opening hundreds of schools. The day before, I attended the opening of 2 schools. According to the State Committee for Construction, 128 schools will open this year. Of these, 110 are new school buildings," he said.

Noting that reputable international financial institutions have given good assessments to the economy of Kyrgyzstan, Zhaparov also said: "Our present, our future and the future of our children depend on the work and contribution of every worker, teacher, doctor, builder and power engineer. We have entered the path of development. There is our unity, prosperity, knowledge and strong political will."
