"As Muslims, we are going through a time when we need the guidance of the Quran more than ever."
In his speech at the grand finale of the Beautiful Recitation of the Holy Quran competition, President Erdogan said: "As Muslims, we are going through the days when we need the guidance of the Quran more than ever. Blood, tears and instability prevail in most Islamic cities around the world."
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan delivered a speech at the grand finale of the Beautiful Reading of the Holy Quran competition.
President Erdogan began his speech in the final program of the Beautiful Recitation of the Holy Quran contest, which was broadcast on TRT 1 TV channel, with the reading of the 25th and 28th verses of Surah "Taha" and the 101st verse of Surah "Yusuf" in the Quran.
Expressing great pleasure to receive the participants at the Presidential Complex, President Erdogan said: "Welcome. You have done us the honor. I would like to thank each of you for your presence."
Expressing gratitude to the Department of Religious Affairs and the directors of TRT for this meeting, President Erdogan congratulated the participants on Ramadan, which they are preparing to say goodbye to.
"RAMADAN IS A HOLIDAY OF PURIFICATION AND RECOVERY, WHICH HAS BEEN BLESSED FOR US"
Stating that Ramadan is a reminder of slavery and mortality, as well as awareness of the purpose of his existence, President Erdogan said: "In this regard, Ramadan is an annual transition into an age of happiness. Muslims all over the world try to observe fasting, read the Koran and show solidarity. Our people revive these blessed days with fasting, iftar, suhur, tahajud, itikaf and reciprocity. For modern Muslims living in times of evil in history, Ramadan is a means of purification and recovery given to us. I pray that Allah will atone for our sins and lead us to the Eid al-Adha holiday cleansed."
Saying that they were lucky to spend the month of Ramadan, the month of the Koran, with the reading of the "nightingales of the Koran", President Erdogan congratulated the participants of the competition for reading the Hafiz of the Koran between the faculties of theology and Islamic sciences.
President Erdogan congratulated the winners of the contests and expressed gratitude to them personally and on behalf of his people for allowing them to taste such a magnificent feast of the Koran, and also thanked the teachers in the jury for their efforts.
President Erdogan said Necip Fazil Kysakurek said, "Every beautiful thing gets better. Allah is beautiful and loves the beautiful," adding: "As the Teacher put it very briefly, a person created in the most beautiful way should read the most beautiful words, paying tribute to them. In the Surah "Az-Zumar" our Lord said: "Allah has sent down the best narrative — the Scripture, the verses are very similar and repeated. Those who fear their Lord tremble at him. And then their hearts soften at the remembrance of Allah." The Quran, as a holy book containing the most beautiful words, has been read, remembered, obeyed with reverence by Muslims for centuries, kept in tongues, in ears, hearts and homes, and echoed in our firmament. With God's help, the Quran will continue to heal hearts, ears and souls until the Day of Judgment."
President Erdogan said: "I pray to my Lord that the wisdom, blessing and mercy of reading the Holy Quran, which come from the hearts along with the voices, will make us legitimate and happy. I believe that the blessed month of Ramadan, the last days of which we understand, will increase this wisdom, benevolence and mercy. Hopefully we will try to benefit from this little rain like here today.
" "WE ARE GOING THROUGH DAYS WHEN WE NEED THE GUIDANCE OF THE QURAN MORE THAN EVER."
President Erdogan said that the light of the Holy Quran spreads to the earth in waves from Hira, where the first revelation was revealed, and plays an important role in the salvation, mercy and abundance of mankind.
Stating that this divine call turned darkness into light, oppression into justice, fear and despair into hope, and sadness into joy, President Erdogan stated that the best examples of love and mercy, brotherhood and solidarity were presented in the era of happiness under the leadership of the Prophet Muhammad.
Noting that it was there that they learned about cooperation, mercy and compassion, President Erdogan said: "There we learned to respect our parents. It was there that we learned to accept orphans and those in need. It was there that we learned how to get rid of the darkness of ignorance. When we, as a nation, were helpless, we rose again with the healing breath of this Divine message. Thus, we have succeeded in not agreeing to oppression, not being oppressed, and being a free, honest, and strong nation with our heads held high. The Quran and the Sunnah have always taught us to earn halal by the sweat of our brow, take care of neighbors and relatives, help the sick and the poor. We have learned to be not only a good servant, but also a good Muslim and a very good person thanks to the Quran and the exemplary life of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), who is a walking Quran."
President Erdogan said: "As Muslims, we are going through days when we need the guidance of the Koran more than ever. Blood, tears and instability prevail in most Islamic cities around the world. Islamic countries are among the places where ethnic, sectarian and tribal tensions are most felt. Despite the fact that we are the ummah of the Prophet who said: "The one who sleeps his fill while his neighbor is hungry is not one of us." Unfortunately, countries where income inequality is widespread are in the geography of our faith. There can be no reasonable explanation for the fact that while we have zakat, people live in prosperity and abundance on the one hand, and millions of people suffer from hunger and starvation on the other hand.
" "WHEN WE LOOK AT MANY REGIONS FROM AFRICA TO ASIA, WE WILL EASILY SEE HOW THE WHEEL OF EXPLOITATION WORKS"
Stating that Muslims are not the only ones responsible for this picture, which contradicts civilization and the values they believe in, President Erdogan said: "The games that global imperialist powers are playing in the Islamic world play an important role in these problems that we are experiencing. Rents from gold, oil, mines and other underground and aboveground resources belonging to Islamic countries are eaten up by former colonial Powers, not by the original owners of these riches. If we look at many regions from Africa to Asia, we can easily see how this wheel of exploitation works and how it works."
Stating that war and conflict are at the forefront of these tools, President Erdogan also said: "Behind the conflicts, tensions and atrocities that have today drenched Syria, Yemen, Libya, Sudan, Palestine and many other Islamic lands, there are plans to continue this system of exploitation. The goal of the game, which is sometimes played by establishing democracy, sometimes ending terrorism and tension, sometimes developing the country, sometimes ensuring peace and stability, in short, each time hiding behind a new mask, is the plundering of wealth. Unfortunately, they often succeeded."
President Erdogan recalled that Syria has not been able to get out of chaos and unrest for 13 years, and a peaceful situation has not yet been created in Libya and Yemen.
Recalling that millions of people in Sudan have been forced to leave their homes, homeland and homes, President Erdogan said: "The policy of occupation, oppression and massacre in Palestine has been intensifying for three quarters of a century. Words are no longer enough to describe the oppression and genocide that our brothers and sisters in Gaza have been subjected to for 180 days. Our ancestors said: "They are looking for the lost where they got lost." Blaming only others for the problems we face, constantly looking for blame in someone else, would undoubtedly be easy to get away with. By questioning the share of the enemies of Islam and humanity in all these crises, we openly admit our own mistakes and our own shortcomings."
Noting that they know that moving away from the leadership of the Qur'an and the Sunnah and weakening ties with the minds of the religion are also effective in shaping this serious picture they are facing, President Erdogan continued his words as follows: "We must recognize that as we distanced ourselves from the commandments of the Qur'an, we began to lose the qualities that make us who we are and make us strong in the fight against our enemies. So much so that our brotherhood, which should be like bricks in a wall, has weakened. Our unity is broken, our solidarity is shaken. Our conversation has shortened. Generosity was replaced by fanaticism, and generosity by avarice. Sincerity and sincerity have disappeared from the scene, and hypocrisy has become a passing currency. Love has given way to hatred, sacrifice has given way to selfishness, empathy has given way to unscrupulousness."
"IT IS IMPORTANT TO BE A RAY OF LIGHT THAT PIERCES THE DARKNESS"
President Erdogan recited lines from Nurullah Gencha's poem "Rain": "Alas, Suizan fell between brothers/Common sense was damaged, blinded izan fell/We have lived with the song of spring for years/The Khazan fell without you in our garden of humanity."
"We all know very well that our environment, that is, the outside world, will not improve unless we fix ourselves," President Erdogan said, adding: "It is easy to criticize darkness. It is important to be a ray of light that pierces this pitch darkness. We can only do this by returning to our roots, our roots, our hearts and the values that have guided us for centuries. To do this, we will first of all protect our brotherhood. We will love each other, take care of each other and respect each other's rights. We will wholeheartedly believe in the abundance of exchange and the power of solidarity. We will never turn away from our brothers, relatives, and neighbors. We will stroke the orphan's head, hold the orphan's hand and knock on the door of those in need. We will consider our religious, sectarian or ethnic differences as a manifestation of God's power, a sign of our Lord, and we will treat each other with respect."
Stressing that they will never, ever forget the basic principle that the Prophet Muhammad commanded in his farewell sermon, President Erdogan said: "I'm leaving you two things. As long as you embrace them, you will not go astray. This is the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet. That's it."
Declaring that "may Allah not separate us from the bright path of the Koran and the Sunnah of the Sunnah," President Erdogan concluded his speech with the prayer "O Allah, make us one of His servants who know the truth and follow it, and who know the lies of the West and stay away from it."
President Erdogan expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the organization of the competition, congratulated the participants and congratulated the winners.
