A ceremony of awarding state awards was held in Kyrgyzstan

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov presented state awards to those who achieved success in political, social, economic and cultural life, contributed to the development and formation of Kyrgyzstan.

In Kyrgyzstan, scientists, politicians, athletes and artists who are successful in their fields and contribute to the development and formation of Kyrgyzstan have been awarded state awards.

President Sadyr Japarov awarded the titles, awards and medals "Manas", "Dank", "Heroism" and "People's Artist" to people working in various fields – from culture to economics, from politics to sports.

Speaking at the award ceremony, President Japarov said that they want to honor the memory of the victim of the Stalin era, Abdykadyr Orozbekov, who stood at the origins of the creation of modern Kyrgyzstan and became its first president in 1924, having played an important role in the creation of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region, with the title of "National Hero".

Presenting the Order of the People's Hero to the grandson of Abdikadir Orozbekov, President Japarov said that the most important duty of everyone is to respectfully honor the memory of their ancestors.

Japarov said: "When Abdikadir Orozbekov took office, he considered it his duty to develop the literacy of the Kyrgyz people and expand education. In 1930-1931, he headed the commission for the creation of the Kyrgyz alphabet and achieved significant success in the preparation, adoption and use of the new alphabet."
