Russian gas will be transported to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan via Kazakhstan
Energy companies of Kazakhstan and Russia have signed a joint agreement on the transportation of Russian gas through the territory of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan reported that an agreement has been signed on the transportation of Russian natural gas to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan through Kazakhstan.
The agreement was signed by officials of the QazaqGaz and Gazprom gas companies of Kazakhstan and Russia at an Economic forum held in St. Petersburg with the participation of Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Skliyar.
It is assumed that the project, which will be in operation until 2040, will contribute to the development of gas transportation systems in Kazakhstan and increase regional security in the field of energy.
