The priority in Azerbaijan's budget for 2025 is the defense and reconstruction of Karabakh

Speaker of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova said that in the budget for 2025, priority will be given to the defense and restoration of Karabakh.

Gafarova spoke during the negotiations in the Milli Majlis on the state budget of Azerbaijan for 2025.

Sahibe Gafarova said that strengthening the national security and defense capability of the country, further development of logistical support for the armed forces, social security, education, restoration of liberated territories and the return of people forced to leave their lands due to occupation will be among the priorities of the state budget for 2025.

Noting that the state budget is at a "record" level in both revenue and expenditure, Gafarova said: "Revenues are projected at 38.3 billion manats ($22.64 billion), and expenses – 41.4 billion manats ($24.35 billion)."

"Strengthening the national security and defense capability of the country, further development of logistical support for the armed forces, social security, education, restoration of liberated territories and the return of people forced to leave their lands due to occupation will be priorities of the state budget for 2025," Gafarova said.
